My Ultimate Salted Caramel Recipe – easy and delicious, so good you'll want it on everything!

I absolutely love salted caramel and if you love it to you’ll certainly love making your own. Perfect over ice cream, spooned into cupcakes or eaten off a spoon, give this quick recipe a go and give yourself a treat!

100g caster sugar
3 tbsp water
100ml double cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp sea salt flakes

1. Mix the water and sugar in a frying pan, stir to mix.
2. Place the pan over a high heat and bring to the boil, do not stir. Keep boiling until the sugar is golden amber in colour.
3. Remove from the heat, and quickly whisk in the cream and vanilla extract.
4. Finally stir through the salt, if you like it salty I’d add another tsp of salt, then simply ENJOY!
